Description

On the enchanting shores of Lake Maggiore, in the most sought-after area of Pallanza, at the foot of the Castagnola hill, stands a magnificent villa built in 1930, in a privileged position that guarantees total privacy and confidentiality. A few steps from the lakefront and the historic center, as well as from the charming Isolino di San Giovanni, which belonged to the Borromeo family, this property is surrounded by a vast and lush garden of about 2,000 square meters, where palms, flowers and manicured vegetation create an enchanting atmosphere. Here, every moment becomes a pleasure: you can walk among the centuries-old trees, immerse yourself in reading or simply relax in the sun. Every corner of the villa has been restored with great care and taste, keeping the original period features alive, a perfect balance between authenticity and timeless charm. The scenic original stone staircase of the period leads to the veranda with full-height glazing on three sides on the second floor; from here one enters the entrance to the house through two elegant doorways, also characteristic of the period. A charming living room, a dining room with parquet floors, a fully equipped kitchen and a guest bathroom complete the floor. The elegant marble staircase leads to the sleeping area on the upper floor, which accommodates two large bedrooms with herringbone parquet flooring, one of which has an en suite bathroom with shower and a second bathroom with bathtub; a splendid panoramic terrace overlooking the lake guarantees moments of pure relaxation and spectacular sunsets. The basement houses additional space, ideal for two guest bedrooms, as well as a storage/laundry room and a bathroom with shower. A convenient one-car garage completes the offer. Tradition, elegance, character and charm come together in this lakeside gem, perfect for those seeking a beautifully preserved historic villa in the heart of the city but with maximum privacy.

Location: Verbania, Piedmont

The city of Verbania is the most populous Lago Maggiore center made up of Intra, Pallanza and other small towns. Intra is the old town center: a walking tour through the beautiful pedestrian street, rich in shops and bars where you can have an aperitif during summer or enjoy a hot chocolate in winter, is absolutely recommended. Walking along the panoramic Lake cycling path you can reach Pallanza (about 30 minutes from Intra on foot); during the walk you can admire the futuristic lines of the new theater “Il Maggiore” and then the famous botanic garden of Villa Taranto, open from March to October, which hosts a very rich variety of flowers and rare plants, that is why many define it as the most beautiful garden in Italy. Once passed the little hill of “Castagnola”, one of the most exclusive residential areas of the city, you arrive in the center of Pallanza, home of the “Museo del Paesaggio”, in which you will find the main works of the impressionist woodcarver Paolo Troubetzkoy. At the end of the wonderful lakeside promenade of Pallanza you finally get to the hamlet of Suna, a lovely village rich in fine restaurants and bars, which goes up to Monterosso slops.
