Description

Overlooking the enchanting backdrop of the Borromean Gulf, Hotel Rigoli boasts a prime lakefront location, with its own garden and furnished sandy beach, a true rarity on the lake. The location in the centre of the village of Baveno is sunny and quiet, and the views of the Borromean Islands and the Alps from most rooms are magnificent. The building of about 1,700 square metres consists of 4 levels plus a basement, connected by a convenient lift, for a total of 32 rooms, 22 of which have a large panoramic balcony, recently renovated and decorated in a classic style with light colours. The land is approximately 1,540 square metres, while the beach is 385 square metres. In the basement are the cellars and the storeroom. The ground floor is dedicated to common areas such as reception, restaurant room, bar room, relaxation room, toilets, kitchens and laundry room; outside, there is a garden, car park, terrace for breakfasts, beach and boat ramps, and canoe or small boat mooring. On the first floor there are 11 rooms with private bathroom; on the second floor another 11 rooms with private bathroom; and finally on the third floor another 10 rooms with private bathroom. The 30 double rooms range in size from 15 to 31 square metres, while the two single rooms are 11 square metres. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, private bathroom with bathtub or shower, hairdryer, telephone, safe, satellite television, and Internet WI-FI. Each room is managed by integrated software that monitors its temperature, room presence, smoke sensors, etc. The building, which is constantly maintained and updated in its plant technology, is equipped with an electronic burglar alarm system - video intercom. The heating system is with methane boilers arranged in a cascade pattern, while the cooling system uses a heat exchanger operating with lake water taken from a depth of more than 45 m, which guarantees excellent efficiency and environmental sustainability. The roof was renovated and insulated in 2018 according to modern criteria, as was the façade facing north. The lift was also renovated in 2019 with a new-generation system that guarantees safety and extremely low operating costs. An extension of up to 15 per cent of the existing volume is possible, as well as the external renovation of the sun terrace; the construction of a swimming pool on the beach and a mooring jetty is also permitted. A pedestrian path leads to the historic landing stage, from which boats and private taxis depart for the Borromean Islands, the railway station and the town centre with its main services. An ideal destination for those wishing to relax and enjoy themselves in a unique place, abandoning themselves to the tranquillity of the lake panorama, Hotel Rigoli is the ideal starting point for sightseeing or a business stay.

Location: Baveno, Piedmont

The town of Baveno boasts one of the most beautiful lakeside promenades. As its neighbouring town (Stresa), Baveno offers a wonderful view on the Borromeo Islands, in particular, you can admire Pescatori Island with its beautiful and colourful houses, the beach and the trees mirroring in the Lake. The historic centre of Baveno is famous for the pink granite, the stone is carved from the mountains behind, and had deeply characterized the development of this area: its enhancement is promoted through the granite ecomuseum of Montorfano and its territory is in the Sesia-Valgrande UNESCO geopark. The whole historic centre of Baveno, from the names of the streets, to the monuments is deeply marked by the presence of granite and by the characters connected to its processing. The pink granite museum offers also an open-air area with the Picasass path (stonecutter), that leads exactly to the carving area of the granite on Camoscio Mountain. Then, this path goes on for the more experienced hikers on the Picasass ferrata, one of the very few via ferratas in this area, open since 2016, that offers a breath-taking panorama on Lago Maggiore.
