Decentral heatingSituated atop a hill, about 500 meters above sea level and just a few kilometers from Alba, La Morra is a small gem nestled in the heart of the Langhe, whose fame has crossed national borders and is now renowned worldwide. Since 2014, La Morra has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage list as part of the site "The Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato." The velvety hills, cobblestone streets, and irregular rooftops, arranged according to the ancient medieval layout, are enough to make La Morra a picturesque town, a guardian of timeless traditions and architectural beauty. But the town offers much more: the so-called “red gold.” In fact, the surrounding hills are home to precious vineyards, the most famous being Nebbiolo, from which Barolo and Nebbiolo d'Alba wines are produced. These precious grapes, cultivated with wisdom, love, and skill, yield wines known all over the world. Its bell tower from the 1700s, built from the remains of the castle that was demolished in the 16th century, stands just over 30 meters high and has a square layout with a simple structure. By reaching the famous “Belvedere,” one can admire the surrounding panorama, a 360° view of pure beauty. Along every street in the village, you will find typical wine cellars and inns where you can taste not only the famous wine but also the fine local products. Hiking enthusiasts can take on the network of 7 trails, whose paths not only lead visitors close to the great vineyards but also allow them to discover small hamlets of La Morra, votive shrines, woods, and scenic viewpoints. Just a stone's throw from the town center, a few minutes from Alba, Verduno, Barolo, and two hours from Milan and Genoa, La Morra's Borgata Fornace is the ideal starting point to explore and immerse oneself in the sensations that this magnificent land has to offer.
