Costa Brava's Coastal Paths

Unique Landscapes on the Costa Brava

On the fabulous Costa Brava we find marvellous Coastal Paths.

These paths are characterised by the mixture of its incredible coves of crystalline waters with the green of the pine trees that surround the coves.
There are several paths on foot, which surround the whole Costa Brava, from Blanes to Portbou and they vary in length and intensity, depending on what you are looking for.

Here we suggest several easy-access trails so that you can also enjoy them with your family.

Lloret de Mar's Camino de Ronda

In the magnificent tourist town of Lloret de Mar we find a marvellous Coastal Path.

It starts in the beautiful fishing village of Sa Caleta situated at the foot of the Castle d'en Plaja at the end of the beach of Lloret de Mar. We start by going around the castle to the Cala dels Frares a cove with a small islet over the water, perfect for watching the sunset and snorkelling. We continue up some steep stairs that will take us to the top of the cliffs, from where we can enjoy panoramic views of the sea, until we reach the little Trons Cove where you can relax and have a swim.

It has a duration of 2 km - 45 minutes approx.

The coastal path from S'Agaró to Platja d'Aro

This is one of the most beautiful and easily accessible paths of the Coastal paths of the Costa Brava. It starts at the long beach of Sant Pol in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
We will find beautiful little coves along the way, such as Jonca cove, o Cala del Molí where there is a via ferrata between cliffs. The Ametller Cove and Maset Cove are two small coves with turquoise waters, where you can take the opportunity to refresh yourself along the route. Visit Cala Pedrosa and the last cove Sa Conca whereyou will find one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Costa Brava, the viewpoint of S'Agaró. Another beautiful viewpoint is that of Punta d'en Pau.
The path along this stretch is very well preserved and quite wide, ideal for children.

It has a duration of 6.5 km - 1 hour approx.

Sa Tuna coastal path (Begur) - Aiguafreda - Pals beach

We start from the Sa Tuna cove from Begur which has a car park, until we reach the beautiful beach at Pals.
This path is quite easy, although there are some stairs and you have to walk a few metres on asphalt.

During the whole route you will walk through magnificent landscapes surrounded by vegetation, with spectacular views of the sea and the Medes Islands and also passing through the beautiful coves of Aiguafreda, Sa Riera and skirting the upper part of the spectacular illa Roja to end at the beach of Racó de Pals.

It has a duration of 8 kilometres - 2 hours approx.

The coastal path from Calella de Palafrugell to Llafranc

The Ronda Way which links Calella de Palafrugell with the coastal town of Llafranc is one of the easiest and most suitable for everyone. It is a wide path, where you will enjoy the green of the pine trees and the blue of the sea, giving you one of the most beautiful landscapes of this area.
We recommend starting the route by crossing the arches of the Port Bo cove in Calella de Palafrugell, to get to the canadell beach, through the town or along the coast. Then you will reach some stairs that will take you to the coastal village of Llafranc, an essential visit in the area.

It has a duration of 1,5 km - 20 minutes approx.

Another option to extend the route is to continue to the Sant Sebastiá Lighthouse, a journey of 30 minutes approx, from where you will undoubtedly enjoy some magnificent views of the Costa Brava.

We also recommend a visit to the village of Calella de Palafrugell which conserves its past and typical seafaring charm in the old quarter, with beautiful white houses, narrow streets and the boats resting on the sand.

The Cadaqués - Portlligat - Cap de Creus coastal path

Cadaqués stands out for being one of the most beautiful villages in Catalonia, and has some of the best Coastal paths of the Costa Brava, with totally wild and unspoilt stretches, with many hidden coves.
The old road that goes from Cadaqués to the Lighthouse of Cap de Creus through its Natural Park, is a marvellous route of 8 kilometres that ends at one of the best viewpoints in Catalonia, next to the lighthouse.

The other Ronda Way will take you to the spectacular Lighthouse of Cala Nans leaving from the southern end of Cadaqués. The route is about 4 kilometres - you can start by walking along the town's beautiful promenade as far as the beach of Sa Conca. From there, a steep climb begins that will allow you to enjoy the best panoramic view of the white houses of Cadaqués. Once at the top, the path continues out of the residential area to approach the coastline of steep cliffs and hidden coves. The last stretch, which will take you to the lighthouse, is simply spectacular, with the most outstanding features being the Sa Sabolla cove and the views from the Cala Nans lighthouse.

You will also be able to enjoy places such as the house-museum of Salvador Dalí at Port Lligat and hidden coves such as Cala Jugadora and Cala Bona.
