Due to its ideal location at the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains, Camp de Mar is an excellent starting point for hikes in the mountain range. A popular hiking destination is the mountain village of Es Capdella. It is located on the Puig de Sa in the Tramuntana mountains. A headland that frames the beach of Camp de Mar is called Cap Andritxol. On the top are the remains of a 16th-century watchtower once built to protect the coast. Camp de Mar has a lively international mix of visitors during the summer months, but is very quiet during the winter months. It is perfect for year-round living, as the neighboring towns of Peguera, Port Andratx and Andratx offer plenty of facilities and amenities.
