As for nature, Rojales has the Lagunas de la Mata-Torrevieja, an incredible protected natural area located south of Alicante. In this environment there are two salty lagoons, Torrevieja and La Mata. This place is home to important vegetation, as well as a large community of birds, more than a hundred species. It has a water amusement park nestled in a natural valley of the Ciudad Quesada Urbanization. Finally, the municipality has the "La Marquesa" Golf Course, located in a flat valley between mountains and protected by a unique microclimate that allows playing throughout the year. The route that it presents during its eighteen holes is comfortable and without great unevenness. It is an ideal field for players of any age and is located 30 minutes from Alicante and Murcia airports.
