Located just 8 km from the Atlantic coast and El Palmar beach, one of the best beaches in the province of Cadiz with crystal clear water and golden sand. Its enclave gives rise to a crossing point for migratory birds between Europe and Africa and the sighting of cetaceans in the ocean. The Natural Park of La Breña and the Marismas de Barbate also belong to this term. One of the greatest attractions of Vejer is the local gastronomy, which has the best products of the area such as retinta beef, Almadraba red tuna, fresh rock fish and shellfish and products from the Cadiz orchard of excellent quality. Its strategic location allows direct contact with nature, where you can practice nautical and water sports in the sea, or hiking, cycling and horseback riding in the mountains, enjoying an exceptional landscape at all times. The wind in the area is the ally of fans of surfing and kitesurfing. The most important sporting event is the Ascent to Vejer, a test of the Andalusian Mountain Championship with more than 35 editions. Also noteworthy are the Montenmedio Golf & Country Club and the Equestrian Circuit of the Sun of Montenmedio.
