The Almagro neighborhood is considered one of the most elegant in Madrid since its tree-lined streets are home to some of the most luxurious and stately homes in the city. Numerous palaces make up this elegant axis of the capital, such as that of the Marqués de Casa Riera where Queen Fabiola of Belgium was born and raised. At present it belongs to the government that has a headquarters of the Ministry of Development. We also find the headquarters of several Embassies, such as German, Swedish and British. There are numerous art galleries that are committed to this area, such as the prestigious Malborough, and international cultural centers (Goethe Institute, Odalys Foundation ...) that choose this axis located on the left bank of Paseo de la Castellana to settle. Very cozy and quiet area despite the fact that there are some of the best-known hotel establishments in Madrid, apart from several luxury boutique hotels (Santo Mauro and Orfila, belonging to the Relaix Chateaux chain).
