It is a small town with ten kilometers of coastline spread across five beaches and various virgin coves, being one of the few towns that is not fully urbanized, unlike most coastal towns. It is situated on the Costa del Azahar, bordering the municipalities of Peñíscola (to the north) and Torreblanca (to the south). In addition to its coastal area, it is characterized by several viewpoints offered by the mountains of the Sierra de Irta natural park. Las Fuentes also has a marina, and to the north extends the Sierra de Irta Natural Park. Alcossebre is accessible via exit 44 of the Mediterranean Highway (AP-7). The N-340 also passes nearby. The nearest airports are Castellón, Valencia (Manises), Reus, and Barcelona (El Prat).
