The municipality of Algaida is located in Pla de Mallorca, which is set in the south-centre of Mallorca. Pla de Mallorca is composed of three urban centres: Algaida, with approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Pina, with about 500 inhabitants, and Randa, with just over 100 inhabitants. It is located about 20 minutes from the nearest beaches and the airport, and 30 minutes from the centre of Palma.
