Arguayo is a small village in the southwest of Tenerife and belongs to the municipality of Santiago del Teide. The village has about 500 inhabitants and is situated at an altitude of 800 – 1,000 metres. It is a very quiet and rural area. The small village is known for its "route of the flowering almond trees", where nature lovers and hikers can enjoy a beautiful landscape with almond trees mostly in January and February. The village has several small shops, cafés and bars. There is also a church called “Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Candelaria”. From the church square you have a good view of La Gomera and a small part of La Palma. You are on the TF 1 in a few minutes. From here it is about 15 minutes to Costa Adeje, Los Gigantes or Puerto Santiago.
