Escorca is located in the northwestern part of the island of Mallorca. The municipal community is surrounded by the world-famous "Sierra de Tramontana" (Catalan Serra de Tramuntana) - a mountain range that was designated a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2011. Close to Escorca are exciting cities such as Fornalutx, Soller, Bunyola, Alaro and Pollensa. With a total population of only 200 inhabitants (data in 2019), Escorca is known for its soothing and peaceful beauty and history. Tourists and locals are attracted to this special place throughout the whole year. The most famous place of Escorca is Sa Calobra - a beautiful bay with a golden sand beach, surrounded by high rocks. Boats and buses are filled by hikers several times a day in order to enjoy the unforgettable view. The country route to Sa Calobra is a popular experience for cyclists of a certain level, as in order to get to this path you will pass winding roads, with a spectacular view towards the sea and the mountains. Another magical place near Sa Calobra is Cala Tuent. A beautiful and quiet bay which offers a broad variety of houses or apartments to buy or to rent. The third fascinating place of Escorca, is the monastery sanctuary of Santa Maria de Lluc. This sanctuary was built in the XIII century and is surrounded by forests, gardens and mountains. A place chosen by many pilgrims. Every year, the famous "walk from Guell" to Lluc takes place. A 48 km walk from the capital Palma. Escorca is a very authentic area of Mallorca, where you can find yourself in the beautiful nature and take a break from the hustle and bustle.
