Vila-real is located in the southeast of the province of Castellón, in the region of Plana Baja. It has a population of 50,334 inhabitants. It is the second most populous municipality in the province of Castellón and the fifteenth most populous in the Valencian Community. The connections to neighboring towns, as well as the roads that lead north to Castellón or south to Valencia, are direct.
