SiBenicarló is a municipality in the Valencian Community, Spain. Located on the north coast of the province of Castellón, in the region of Bajo Maestrazgo. Currently, after the Patron Saint Festivities, it holds great importance due to the massive influx of visitors during the Fallas week, and its unique interpretation of the festival by opening the falleros' halls to all visitors. Regarding Benicarló's gastronomy, rice-based dishes take precedence, such as "arroz a banda," local paella, or "tostado". The "olla mezclada" is also typical. Being a fishing port, essential dishes in maritime gastronomy include "suquet de pescado", as well as the extraordinary prawns of Benicarló, or the delicious squid, cuttlefish, octopus, mantis shrimp, sole, and many other seafood products that fishermen extract daily from its waters.
