Some of them are in the town of Palamós and here we want to talk about their main attractions.
This beautiful cove is located less than 3 km from the center of Palamós. It is a small cove of stones and thick sand, situated in a completely natural landscape, with fishermen's houses and boats located on the shore. Due to its location, it does not have services, and we can only access it on foot by the Camino de Ronda or by boat.
Located in a residential area, north of the center of Palamós, is the beautiful beach of La Fosca. It is a well-known beach, mainly occupied by families, thanks to its length, the fine sand, its shallow waters and its ease of access to it, whether by car, on foot, by bus or by boat. It has a shower service, lifeguard, a restaurant and a beach bar.
It has recently obtained the Environmental Quality and Blue Flag badges.
Cala Estreta is a beautiful and small cove, surrounded by pine trees and cliffs. It is located in a totally natural and wild environment, and as the name implies it is a narrow beach, divided in two parts by a rock called “the Red”. It is located 8 km from the center of Palamós. It is a beach without services, due to its difficult access, where the practice of nudism is allowed.
To access this cove, we will have to walk from 20 to 30 minutes, from the beach of Es Castell, taking the Camino de Ronda to the north. Following this path, we can enjoy the best coves in the area: Cala Sania, Cala Els Corbs, Cala Canyers, Cala d'en Remendon, Cala Roca Bona, Cala de Cap de Planes, Cala el Crit and finally the beach of Golfet, at the foot of Cap Roig.
Cala Margarida is located a few minutes from the center of Palamós, after the exclusive Port Marina. It can be accessed on foot or by car from the center or the port, or via the Camino de Ronda from the La Fosca beach.
In this picturesque cove, its white houses, fishermen's house stand out, as well as numerous boats, the quality of its waters and seabed, where we can find various species of algae of great ecological value, starfish, and numerous species of fish, already that under its waters there are funds up to 25 meters deep.
The beach has shower services, and although it is small and rocky, it is both intimate and cozy, ideal to get closer to enjoying a bath.
The Es Castell beach is one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches of the Costa Brava, since it combines a beautiful landscape and a long history. It is surrounded by a natural environment with fine golden sand and crystal clear waters. It is ideal for the whole family, since it is shallow water.
We recommend taking a walk around its surroundings, in a natural environment full of pine trees, visiting the Iberian village of Es Castell to learn about its history, and also Dalí's little house famous for its inclination.
Although it is located a bit far from the center of Palamós, it is very convenient to access it by car or on foot. In addition, it is an accessible beach for people with reduced mobility, as it has ramps and access walkways. It offers several services, among them: lifeguard, a water sports school such as kayaking, a bar area and a parking area.
