Contra is a municipality in Canton Ticino in an idyllic location, surrounded by the shores of Lake Maggiore and grandiose hilly landscapes. It is about 500 m above sea level and is a hamlet of the municipality of Tenero. In the village, next to the church, there is a shop for daily needs. On the one hand, Tenero-Contra is known as an important industrial centre. But in the past, the municipality has also distinguished itself in another sector, tourism.
