Pied-à-terre Paradise

With the sun beating down on the waves of the lagoon and the breathtaking view of Venice, we stroll along the Giudecca Fondamenta to one of the most iconic complexes in the entire city: the Molino Stucky. Built in the late 19th century by the noble family of the same name, it is one of the greatest examples of neo-Gothic architecture in Venice. Initially born as a real mill, in recent years it has come back to life as one of the most important residential and hospitality complexes in the entire city. We then cross the threshold of the complex and are greeted by the concierge service in a majestic full-height hallway. We then enter our property: the first thing that surprises us is the light that pervades the living area with a pleasant view of the lagoon, all framed by a Venetian tile floor that will be the leitmotif of our visit. This open space area between the kitchen and living room makes the room feel familiar and alive, all closely connected to the lagoon landscape outside. We then move on to the corridor that leads us to an equally bright and spacious master bedroom, also with a view of the lagoon and the park across the canal. We are fascinated by the scenic space that opens up through the two large windows, with the canal, the marina and a side view of Venice. We take time for a chat, leaning against the window before heading for the large bathroom with tub, which is well developed and very practical, given its considerable size. The location, the context, the enchanting view, the care, the layout of the spaces, and the condominium septic tanks make the property functional as an investment, as a pied-à-terre, but also as a first home in a dream location.
