Beschreibung
Palazzo Ancajani is an excellently preserved Baroque palace overlooking the Tiber valley below with a view of the territories of Umbria and Lazio up to Tuscany. The fenced property is made up of a private park, the main building and the annexed buildings now used as a permanent exhibition of rural life. Built in the mid-1600s, the palace arrives today after changes of ownership between noble Umbrian families after precious restorations by the wisest hands of the various eras. Walking through the private park, you reach the main door of the building which opens onto a large entrance hall, from here you enter the garrison room, the basements of the building, the service rooms and the Bernini-style staircase leading to the upper floors. The first floor is the representation floor. You arrive in a large central hall, from which you can reach other rooms: library, lounges, dining room, breakfast room, kitchen, bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Elegance and refinement characterize the top in every detail, from the frescoed ceilings to the coffered ones, from the marble floors to those in terracotta and ancient tiles up to the silk wall coverings. There are also precious frescoes by Andrea Galeotti dated 1853. On the second floor there are bedrooms and bathrooms that perfectly reflect the style and elegance of the entire building. The park, of about 2000 square meters, is arranged on several levels, with towering trees and a lemon house. A further residential building and a large garage complete the property outside the fence. A project is underway for the property aimed at creating a panoramic terrace on the first floor, an external connecting lift and a swimming pool.
