The area known as Mandria grew up around the ancient Roman road Annia, which led from Padua to Adria and is home to Villa Giusti del Giardino where on November 3, 1918 the armistice ending the First World War was signed between Italy, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Germany, on the other hand, stands Villa Molin, designed by the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi in 1597 (and often mistakenly placed in Mandriola, which is on the other side of the Canale di Battaglia).
