The attic in the woods

We reach our exclusive attic duplex penthouse in the magical setting of Plan Gorret. Its surroundings are a forest that we can describe as fairy-tale, where we distinguish spruces, larches, white firs, and even green douglasias, conifers native to North America, which are also present in Abbé Henry Park, which is a short walk away. The janitor of the apartment building greets and welcomes us. As we enter the property we immediately notice how it was completely renovated a few years ago, we find it in fact tastefully finished and furnished to a high standard, wrapped in elegant wood paneling, in typical Alpine style. The generous spaces seem suitable for a large family, starting with the refined living room with a fireplace and large panoramic windows. The dining area is attached, while a pass gives access to the pleasant and accessorized adjacent kitchen, an inviting solution for intimate and convivial moments with loved ones and friends. In the sleeping area, the master bedroom enjoys an en suite bathroom with bathtub, shower and balcony; two other bedrooms for children/youth are located in additional sleeping area. Completing the property is the housekeeper's room with en suite bathroom and shower. In the common parts are owned the convenient basement cellar, a skibox and the garage. Before ending our visit, we indulge in an exit to the two-sided terrace that serves the living area floor: the open view of the scenic space of unspoiled nature and the Alps enchants us and seems to allude to moments of leisure and relaxation, in absolute privacy. The lodging seduced us from this first visit because of its location overlooking the village from the woods, with panoramic views of the majestic peaks of the Mont Blanc chain, the light and privacy it affords, and its explicit promise of authentic Alpine quiet luxury.
