JaLa Isla is a small village in Colunga located on the coastal strip, on the edge of the Cantabrian Sea. It is one of the most striking towns in this area, which, together with Lastres, receives visitors in the summer season, attracted by its green landscapes and beaches. One of them is La Isla, in the shape of a shell, named after the islet on its left bank, which is joined at low tide by a tombolo. La Isla is only 3 km from Colunga, 7 km from Lastres and 20 minutes from Ribadesella and Villaviciosa. It is very well communicated with Oviedo, Gijón, Santander and their airports, all of them less than an hour away by motorway.
