Preis
2.200.000 €
Sorribas Palace is located in the parish of Cazanes, in the Asturian municipality of Villaviciosa. It is situated on a hillside of Mount Coroña, surrounded by meadows and with the La Carbayera forest linked to the property. Two of the defensive towers that made up the medieval walls of Villaviciosa, moved to this location in the mid-20th century, are preserved in the access wall to the palace enclosure. The first documentary mention of a stately home in Sorribas dates back to 1383. In its current configuration, it is a 17th-century construction, with some isolated earlier elements, such as a late Gothic window that is still preserved in the annex to the main building. The main building has three floors: ground floor, attic, and a semi-basement. A wall surrounds the complex, with two dovecotes in the lower corners. The palace, as well as the chapel, preserves the coats of arms of the family. The palace was declared a Property of Cultural Interest, with the category of monument, on September 20, 2017. The palace-house is located on a 28-hectare estate, 8 hectares of which correspond to private forest and another 8 to a working cider apple orchard. Regarding the ground floor, the main entrance leads directly to a magnificent large living room (65 m²), where several areas are differentiated, highlighting an imposing fireplace. Adjacent to this room is an office-library, as well as a splendid dining room with large wooden beams on the ceiling. This floor is completed by four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a toilet, as well as a large kitchen with an adjacent laundry room. A beautiful chestnut wood staircase, illuminated by a large stained-glass window, leads to the attic floor, where there are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a corridor overlooking the entire property and finally an attic. The semi-basement floor consists of a garage for several vehicles, a storeroom, a boiler room, as well as other smaller rooms. The large garden, in front of the south facade of the property, delimited by a masonry wall, has various species, among which the unmistakable bougainvillea that characterizes the property stands out. The private forest, with its waterfall and the romantic forest track that provides access to the house, flanked by imposing oak trees, will make you feel in a magical and special place. The complex is completed by a chapel, located in front of the palace-house, as well as the old stables, next to the main building, which have 835 m² distributed over two floors. The structure of the building is intact and offers numerous possibilities for rehabilitation for possible commercial use in the hospitality sector. If you are looking for a unique opportunity, either as a private residence or as tourist accommodation, do not hesitate, we offer you an exclusive property where you can disconnect and enjoy escaping from the stress and bustle of large cities.

Villaviciosa is a municipality in the Principality of Asturias (Spain), bordering the Cantabrian Sea to the north, and the municipalities of Sariego, Nava, Cabranes, and Piloña to the south; Gijón and Siero to the west; and Colunga to the east. It is known for the quality of its cider and the abundance of apple trees. Its estuary, the Villaviciosa estuary, is the largest in Asturias. This is the most prominent geographical feature within the municipality, reaching the sea between El Puntal and Rodiles Beach, one of the best beaches in Asturias, where surfing is practiced year-round. Various water sports can also be practiced in the estuary. It also boasts an important fishing port in the picturesque village of Tazones. Its climate, like the rest of the coastal municipalities in the region, is temperate and humid. As such, it has pleasant temperatures in both winter and summer, making hiking possible. There are six Short-Distance Trails approved by the Principality of Asturias Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing, and Hiking. Likewise, Villaviciosa possesses a complete repertoire of Romanesque and pre-Romanesque works, highlighting the architectural ensemble formed by San Salvador de Valdediós (El Conventín), the adjacent church of Santa María, and the monastic convent that accompanies it. You can also enjoy excellent, unique, and singular gastronomy. All this makes this place a true natural paradise where impressive nature prevails, just 25 minutes from the main Asturian cities such as Oviedo, Gijón, and Avilés, thanks to excellent motorway and highway connections: A-8, Cantabrian Motorway: Baamonde - Gijón - Villaviciosa - Llanes - Torrelavega - Solares - Bilbao - San Sebastián and Irún.
