Belair District

A classic, family and exclusive residential area

Classic, familiar and exclusive. Considered one of the most exclusive and sought-after districts in the Luxembourg capital, the central and historic Belair district is located to the west of the city center. Today, with over 12,000 inhabitants and over 123 different nationalities, the district hosts almost about 10% of Luxembourg City's population. Luxembourgers themselves represent 32% of this, followed by 17% of French nationality.

With an age range of between 28 and 49 years, the district is mainly home to many families living in single-family homes with gardens, who particularly appreciate the tranquility and the special quality of life in the neighborhood. The area offers an excellent infrastructure: supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, hairdressers, pharmacird, doctors' offices, as well as restaurants and cafes.

The city center can be easily reached by bicycle as well as the connection by public transport, such as bus or tram, to all important destinations in the city center, Kirchberg, the train station or airport leaves nothing to be desired. The proximity to schools, private schools, day care centers or the campus "Geesseknäppchen" as well as the connection to the highway A4/A6 complete the terrific infrastructure of Belair.

Around the former Josy Barthel Stadium, which was the Luxembourg national stadium since 1931, known after the Olympic golf winner, a new construction project "Wunnquartier Stade" is being developed with a complete transformation of the area.
