In progressBorgata Bozzolina is a hamlet in the Municipality of Castelletto d'Orba. Its origins date back to the 18th century, but it seems to go back as far as the first half of the 18th century. The village houses an ancient and massive walnut oil press dating back to 1716 at its heart, the centerpiece of the local museum. The village is typical in that it has remained almost unchanged over time and has the advantage of being on the doorstep of a splendid, untouched natural area: Valle Albarola. The small village, also inhabited by many residents, is particularly lively in the summer, with festivals, events, tastings, and exhibitions. The "Lucciolata" event is particularly striking, due to the widespread presence of fireflies in the summer months, which testifies to the purity of the air in the surrounding natural area. The town of Castelletto d'Orba also boasts a very ancient history, being one of the oldest villages in the Alto Monferrato. Its name derives from "Castrum," which means "fortified place," and this was certainly its origin in medieval times. Of great importance to the town are the numerous springs, whose therapeutic properties, once considered miraculous, were discovered in the second half of the 18th century. The town has a strategic logistical position, being located in the center of the Milan-Turin-Genoa triangle, just 40 km from Liguria. It also has the great advantage of being very close to two very important Golf Clubs, Colline del Gavi in Tassarolo and Villa Carolina in Capriata d'Orba. The famous fashion shopping center of Serravalle Scrivia, Serravalle Designer Outlet, is only 18 km away.
