Decentral heatingTremezzina is one of the most famous and prestigious villages on Lake Como and houses some of the most beautiful villas around the lake. It is a well-known holiday resort, known for the elegant Gran Hotel Tremezzo and the historic Villa Carlotta, with its art collection and its magnificent botanical garden. The territory of Tremezzina enjoys a micro-climate, which means the days are quite sunny and mild even in winter, so olive trees and lemon trees grow there. In this area you can visit the famous Villa Balbianello, Lenno, the Comacina Island, Menaggio and its famous Golf Club. Its proximity and convenience in reaching the main infrastructures, such as the Malpensa airport, which is only an hour and a quarter drive away, the city of Milan, which is 70 km away, and the city of Lugano, in Switzerland, which is only half an hour's drive away, have allowed Tremezzina to become one of the most sought-after resorts on Lake Como. Tremezzina is located opposite the world-famous town of Bellagio, which can be reached in only 10 minutes by boat. For winter sports enthusiasts, the proximity to the famous winter sports resorts of St. Moritz (CH), as well as Madesimo, Bormio and Livigno (Ital.), should be noted. These resorts can be reached in about 2-3 hours by car.
