"The gateway to the Dolomites" is the name given to Dobbiaco at the entrance to the wildly romantic Cave Stone Valley. The municipality borders on the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Three Peaks in the Sesto Dolomites and natural parc Fanes Senes Braies and offers two wonderful destinations for excursions: Lake Dobbiaco and Lake Dürenstein. The connection to the train line "Ski Pustertal Express" allows a comfortable and stress-free access to the two well-known ski areas "Tre Cime Dolomiti" as well as the "Kronplatz" which together offer more than 200 km of slopes.
