Syracuse: Location and surroundings of this property

The flat is located in Ortigia in one of the historical buildings of Via Vittorio Veneto, an ancient axis with baroque palaces and balconies with characteristic corbels. Aristocratic families of Spanish origin also lived on this street (of which only a few palaces remain). This street was also the starting point of the processions in which the main workshops of Syracuse participated: carpenters, carvers, ceramists, glassworkers, etc... The flat is in a quiet, central location with the ability to reach all the places of major historical, cultural and gastronomic interest in the historic centre within minutes. Noteworthy in the immediate vicinity are the church of S. Filippo Neri from 1652, the 15th-century palazzo Interlandi, palazzo Bongiovanni on the corner of via Mirabella with its sculpted corbels, and the 17th-century church of the Carmine, built on a pre-existing 14th-century church. At a distance of 300 metres, public parking is possible at the Talete car park, located opposite the ancient market of Ortigia, a tourist destination for its street-food. Walking along via Resalibera, the axis of the ancient Islamic quarter, one arrives in Piazza Archimede, a shopping area with several commercial activities.
