The Municipality of Acharnes is located in the northwestern part of Attica, 12 km from the center of Athens, at the foot of Mount Parnitha.
Unique Features: Acharnes (also known as Menidi) as a whole constitutes an urban landscape of exceptional interest. Acharnes is one of the largest municipalities in the prefecture and one of the most important in relation to the 2004 Olympic Games as the Olympic Village is located there.
