Location: Kritinia is one of the most beautiful villages on the island and is no more than 50 km from Rhodes Town.
Unique features: Built upon a hill with panoramic views overlooking the forests that surround the sea and the medieval castle, which thanks to its intense cultural interest, has gained much recognition. The small picturesque inlets in the area, such as Kopria, Kalami and Paleochora are ideal for short excursions. Also very close to the village, only 4 km, is the port of Kamiros Skala, with fine fish restaurants and an ancient tomb carved into the rock. From the port of Kamiros Skala, boats depart for the picturesque island of Halki. Kritinia is a typical Greek, friendly little village with its residents who are mainly involved in agriculture along with the neighbouring villages of Embona and Mandriko creating the most productive area on the island. All necessary amenities can be found in the area including supermarkets, the medical centre in Embona, chemist, tavernas and cultural events.
Accessibility: There is public transport from Rhodes town stopping at Kritinia and neighbouring villages.
Investment potential: Since tourism is less on the west coast of the island, property prices are more attractive even for a beach front property.
