The municipality of Drosia is extended from the suburban forest of Ekali until the first hills of the Penteliko Mountain, within a distance of few kilometers north-eastern of Athens. Being outside of the Attica basin and surrounded by pinewoods, it has been famous to all Athenians for its delicious peinirli, a dish of Constantinople origin, but also its pleasant and cool climate during the summer months, elements that shaped the personal style of a region, that was developed with rapid rhythms, without being a great distance from the centre of Athens.
