ILISSIA
Location: Named for the Ilisos river, that once flowed through here, this neighborhood, often referred to as the "Hilton" district, is just 1.5 kms from the Athens city centre.
Unique features: Ilissia just lies behind the Hilton and is home to the National Gallery. It is within walking distance to all the museums on Vas. Sofias Avenue and the Goulandris Museum of Modern Art in Pangrati. Voted as one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods for dining and drinking, Ilissia boasts award-winning restaurants and bars. The Alsos Ilisiou is an oasis of green, ideal for walks and jogs.
