2,694 m²Kandia is a seaside destination built next to the sea between Drepanos and Iria and just 17 kilometers from the cosmopolitan and historic Nafplion. It was named Candia after the Venetian island of Crete that was in use at that time. Over time they became involved in fishing and thus stayed permanently in Kandia, abandoning animal husbandry. It is the most anciently inhabited settlement in the entire region where the ruins of the Mycenaean Acropolis of Kantia can be seen behind the hill of Agia Eleusa. The beautiful beach of the village has helped in its tourist development and thus there are visitors of all ages from Greece and abroad, whether they are looking for a quiet vacation or not. The village has many hotels and rooms for rent as well as very beautiful beaches and several beach bars for entertainment. A characteristic of the beach of Kandia is that sea turtles and many types of fish live at the mouth of the Asclepius springs.
