Kamatero is a settlement in the Municipality of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero and is part of the Western Suburbs of Athens. The area is built on the foothills of Poikilo Oros and it borders Petroupoli, Ano Liosia, Ilion and Zefyri. Features: Kamatero is known for the important archaeological findings, such as graves and houses, that have been discovered in its center. On top of the Profitis Ilias hill that overlooks the town of Kamatero, one can enjoy the view of the entire Attica basin and the Saronic Gulf. In the last few years, modern complexes of two-story houses have been built in sparsely populated neighborhoods of the area, which are ideal for families.
