Engel & Völkers celebrates the VIII Santander Sailing Trophy

On the 29th and 30th of June, Engel & Völkers sponsored the VIII Edition of the Trofeo de Vela a dos in Santander, the only coastal regatta held throughout the year in the Cantabrian capital.

The Regata En Solitario y A Dos, for cruisers and monotypes, was organised next the facilities on the bay of the Real Club Marítimo de Santander where the regatta started. Eighteen yachts took part in the IRC1, IRC2, IRC3 and J80 and FC8 class monotypes, which always bring excitement and competition to the annual event.

On Saturday a welcome breakfast was offered to the sailors and guests and at one o'clock noon the sailboats set off in search of the first virtual buoy marked at La Maruca, after skirting the bay between the Magdalena peninsula and the island of Mouro and skirting the capes Menor and Mayor.

At midday on Sunday, the trophy ceremony was held, where all the participants enjoyed a brunch offered by Engel & Völkers and received gifts from the sponsor, completing the welcome kit that was given to them when they registered.
