The Riviera del Sol district is located in Mijas Costa, between the urbanisations of Calahonda and La Cala de Mijas. To the north, Riviera del Sol runs along the AP7 toll motorway, parallel to the neighbouring Sitio de Calahonda. Riviera del Sol is characterised by its essentially Mediterranean architecture. There are numerous villas around the famous Miraflores golf course, flats and a large number of townhouses. Many of the urbanisations are partly used for holiday rentals and therefore offer many more communal areas, most of them with heated swimming pools, gyms or even small indoor pools. Leisure facilities, restaurants, golf course and beach club are open 365 days a year and make life easier for residents. Transport links could not be better. It only takes 15 minutes to Marbella, 10 minutes to Fuengirola and 30 minutes to Malaga International Airport.
