The Portichol neighborhood, with its magical mix of stunning natural beauty, sweeping viewings of the Mountains City and Sea, and its close proximity to all the necessities of modern life, has long been the most desirable and affluent of Javea. There is only one street that optimizes the unique character, Carrer L´ílla, the “Miracle Mile” of Portichol, with only 25 houses in total, with a combined value of + 100 million of Euros. Occasionally, one of these exclusive properties comes to the market. That moment has come! We are pleased to present, as an exclusive listing, a corner house on Carrer L´Illa, and Portichol, a property which has only been on the market one time previously. This classic Spanish style Villa was originally built in 1980 as an 18 room Hotel, so it enjoys a total constructed area of approx. 1380m2, distributed over 3 floors, with many terraces and gardens with glimpses of the deep blue sea beyond the trees. The enormous 3397m2 plot is mostly flat. Architectural highlights include charming Tuscan stone archways, ceilings with wooden vigas, a private swimming pool, bowling green (idea for Tennis court) a Pallero/BBQ, children’s play areas, and lots of space for off street parking. The property is in solid shape structurally and ready for a complete remodel to modernize the interior layout and facilities. Alternatively, the property provides a unique opportunity for redevelopment as a bespoke home design. Only one lucky owner will have the chance to acquire this exclusive property in the best of all locations in Javea.

Jávea is a coastal town and municipality in the comarca of Marina Alta, in the province of Alicante, Valencia, Spain, by the Mediterranean Sea. Situated on the side of the Montgó Massif, behind a wide bay and sheltered between two rocky headlands, the town has become a very popular small seaside resort and market town. Half of its resident population and over two thirds of its annual visitors are foreigners. HISTORY: The area was first inhabited in prehistoric times, 30,000 years ago by cave dwellers on Montgó. Subsequent residents have included Stone and Bronze-age peoples, Romans, Greeks, Phoenicians, Visigoths, Germanic, Carthaginians, and Moors. Roman fishing boats used the port, and there is evidence that dates the Roman occupation of Xàbia to the 2nd century BC, it makes Xàbia the oldest known Roman site on the coast with a commercial port for fish and minerals. In the 6th century AD, Christian Visigoth monks came to Xàbia and founded the monastery of Sant Martí, which likely gave its name to the cape in the area named Cap San Martí. Several people with Visigoth names still live in the area. The hermitage of Popol dates to the 14th century. In the 16th and 17th centuries pirate raids were prevalent, so a wall was built around the town for protection. The wall was later torn down, and today a replica exists in its place in certain sections. ACCESS: Airport: Approximately 1 hour from Alicante and Valencia. Regional Hospital: 15 mins New to Javea?
