Extraordinary traditional Canarian house

Engel & Völkers presents this extraordinary typical Canarian house, located in the foundational district of Vegueta, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The property is distributed over three floors. On the first floor we have the main entrance where a beautiful hall gives you a welcoming. Then we find two living rooms, one of them in the style of Louis XV. Following, we have a dining room and a modern kitchen, illuminated by natural light coming from a courtyard full of vegetation and covered by a glass skylight, made by the artist Tuula Giraldo. Crossing the hallway, we have a bathroom and a bedroom with a large dressing room. Going up through a staircase of original design, with an outstanding combination of wood and iron, we find a second living-dining room. From the living room we access a terrace of 3 levels, ideal for holding social events. The highest part has a viewpoint overlooking the entire bay, the Cathedral and much of the city. The house dates from 1898, completely renovated five years ago, and declared as part of the National Historic and Artistic Ensemble, since 1973. The balcony is the typical Canarian balcony, a characteristic element of the traditional architecture of the islands, made of wood with carvings, covered with a wood and tile roof.
