Singular country estate - Mallorca
Price
€9,950,000
This magnificent country estate, meeting the highest expectations, is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Tramuntana between Pollensa and Campanet in Mallorca. The valley of "Vall d´en Aixartell'' is distinguished by its extremely exclusive enclave, including wine growing, as well as a selection of historic mansions. With grounds of approximately 50 hectares and with neighbours owning similarly sized estates, the property provides absolute privacy. The estate has a total of 9 bedrooms, spread over 3 buildings, which include the main house, a guest house with two apartments and a smaller house. Not far from the main house is a wonderful swimming pool area and summer house, the saltwater pool is evocative of a beautiful, private sandy cove and the summer house is a haven to while away the summer days; fully equipped with an outdoor kitchen and dining, as well as a fabulous lounge area. Other features include a tennis court, a fitness room and the “Tafona” an historic olive press. Wonderful, park-like grounds with almond trees, fig trees, olive groves, holm oak and pine woods complete this singularly grand property.

The beautiful old town of Pollensa has a population of more than 16,000 and is part of the Municipality of Pollensa, that also includes Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente. The town is 6 km from the coast and 58 from the airport and the capital Palma de Mallorca. The old town is characterised by narrow streets and the old market square. The town has a medley of cafes, bars, eateries and small hotels. Pollensa offers a special insight into the Mediterranean lifestyle that has evolved over the centuries, it is a town with history that values its traditions and customs. In the early 1920s, Pollensa became a popular destination for famous painters, writers and musicians who visited the island. Today Pollensa continues to be important to the cultural and art worlds promoting and hosting concerts and exhibitions of relevance, such as the International Music Festival held during the summer months. The event calendar is busy in Pollensa the most notable occasions being the festivals of Sant Antoni in January the Easter celebrations and the week-long festivities of the patron saint ‘La Patrona Mare de Déu dels Àngels’ from the 26th July to and including the 2nd of August. Also well worth visiting is the wine fair in April and the Sunday markets held every week. Points of interest include the convent on the Puig de Maria, where there are fantastic 360º views and a great cafe, and if you book you can even sleep there for a small sum. There is a Roman Bridge, which probably is not Roman and the 365 steps of the Calvario, here too there is a great little cafe at the top to recover from the climb and relish the huge views to both the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.
