Llubí is situated in the centre of Mallorca and has approximately 2.500 inhabitants and is famous for its delicious honey, capers and almonds. There are many activities for the whole family all year round. There are several cafes at the train station as well as many restaurants including the Brut restaurant, a unique tasting experience where local, fresh and seasonal products are combined with different homemade food. There is also the minimalist restaurant "Daica" which in 2019 was awarded the Michelin star. It has several supermarkets, restaurants and cafés, a school, and a sports centre. You can walk to the Hermitage, a place where people gather on Sundays for picnics or “torradas”, and which has a sandy playground. On Tuesday mornings there is a varied market in the Plaza de España, better known as Plaza de la Carretera. On the third weekend in November, the local fair dedicated to honey harvesting is held here. The village, decorated with sand-coloured stone houses, is about 20 minutes from the beaches of Alcudia, and 35 minutes from the centre of Palma and the airport.
