Cerdanya valley is surrounded by the Catalan Pyrenees with wonderful views of mountains like the Sierra del Cadi or Tosa d’Alp, amongst others, providing us an exceptional place to live or spend vacation periods all year round. Privileges include lots of sunny days during the year, mild temperatures in summer, postcard looks in spring and autumn and a winter surrounded by ski resorts. Riu de Cerdanya is a small town surrounded by forests with a peaceful, rural and mountain atmosphere, relatively far from the tourist atmosphere of the region, but close to areas with services. It is located in the Serralada del Moixero, a place of exuberant nature, high mountains and interesting flora and fauna. Riu de Cerdanya is located at a height of 1,185 meters, very close to the Cadí Tunnel, 8 km away from Bellver de Cerdanya, 10 km from Alp and 11 km from the ski slopes Masella and La Molina. It preserves the village spirit thanks to the fact that the new constructions have maintained the traditional mountain architecture. With barely 100 inhabitants, Riu de Cerdanya is a magnificent destination both for people seeking tranquility and for sports lovers. It has an altarpiece from the Baroque period in the church of San Juan Bautista.
