Mancor de la Vall is a pretty charming village situated in a small valley at the foot of the Tramuntana mountain range surrounded by mountains, and has just over 1,500 inhabitants. It has several small bars and restaurants, as well as a chemist's shop and a few inland hotels. The best known is the Hotel Turixant, a small boutique hotel with 12 rooms dating from the 18th century that has been tastefully renovated, maintaining some of the historical elements. On 24th June, the feast of Saint John the Baptist, patron saint of the village, is celebrated, and a series of cultural and festive events take place, and at the end of November, the l'esclata-sang fair is held, which is well known throughout the island. Nowadays it still preserves prehistoric remains such as the Tayalots of Clot dels Diners and Conia, the fortified settlement of Son Boscá and the Montaura Cave. 40 minutes away from the airport and the city of Palma, as well as the nearest beaches.
