Cabrera de Mar is a municipality in the Maresme region located in a small open valley on the coast, between the towns of Vilassar de Mar and Mataró. It combines mountains and sea with great archaeological wealth in the Iberian town, at the foot of Burriac Castle and in several Roman sites in the town centre.
Located in Pla de l'Avellà, next to Vilassar de Mar, but belonging to the municipality of Cabrera de Mar, being one of the municipalities with the highest per capita income in Spain. That means, among other things, good schools, both public and private, as well as magnificent services such as doctors, sports equipment, etc.
Located about 28 kilometers from Barcelona, and 104 meters above sea level, the center of the municipality is 2.5 kilometers away from the sea, in a small valley between two mountains: Burriac and Montcabrer.
The area closest to the sea has a flat profile. The coastline is formed by a beach of fine golden sand 1,200 meters long and a width varying between 10 and 40 meters. For its part, the interior presents a very rugged relief due to the presence of the Sant Mateu mountain range, part of the Serralada Litoral.
