Oil heatingThe Urbanization El Montanyà is an exclusive residential area located in the province of Barcelona, in the municipality of Seva. It is the largest in the municipality of Seva in terms of extension and the second largest in terms of the number of registered residents, 215 people, although there are many people who have different residences. The name Montanyà is exclusive of an old farmhouse documented since 1041, villa Montannan. The urbanisation extends mainly over the lands that were the domain of the farmhouse. It is only about 60 km from Barcelona and can be reached from the Seva side, after about five kilometres, along the BV-5301 road and through the Serrabardina housing estate. On the south side, take the Pinoso exit of the C-17 and go up Avinguda Joan Miró to Collformic street in El Montanyà, which takes less than four kilometres to the centre of the urbanisation. El Montanyà has a social club and first-class hotel and sports facilities. In 1991 the Equestrian Club was inaugurated on the occasion of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. It was the Olympic equestrian venue, where the dressage and pentathlon competitions were held. It also has a prestigious golf course and a hotel which has served as a training ground for the Barcelona Football Club football team.
