Cumbre del Sol is a purpose-built residential resort within the municipality of Benitachell, between the more established towns of Moraira and Jávea, which lies in the southwest of the Marina Alta of the Costa Blanca - in the northern part of the province of Alicante - inside the autonomous district of Valencia.
Located high on the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean, the development is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by green belt land and interesting beaches and coves. As one of the older “new” resorts on this stretch of coast, Cumbre del Sol has all the amenities both tourists and residents could need, including supermarkets, a pharmacy and even an English primary school.
Despite the many tourist-friendly areas and new urbanizations, the area has kept it´s individual landscape with large areas dedicated to agriculture and the cultivation of the moscatel grapes. The centre of Benitachell, situated on top of a hill, has kept the characteristics of a genuine Valencia village (pueblo).
Being only 90 km away from the airports in Alicante and Valencia guarantees easy access and has contributed to the popularity of the Cumbre del Sol amongst visitors all over Europe. From the Marina Ports of Jávea or Moraira, the famous islands Ibiza and Mallorca are only 50 nautical miles away.
