La Raya del Palancar (Villanueva de la Cañada) is a residential area nestled in a natural setting of great beauty, on the edge of the Regional Park of the middle course of the Guadarrama River, 30 km east of the capital, Madrid. It is not located near busy roads or large urban centres, which provides it with great tranquility. Bus number 626 of the Madrid Community Transport Consortium links the residential area with Villanueva de la Cañada, Majadahonda and finally Las Rozas. By car it has direct access via the M-513 from Boadilla del Monte, as well as via Villanueva de la Cañada and Brunete. It has within its boundaries a restaurant, a hotel and a private school (Arcadia), as well as its own Social Club. Just two kilometres away is the Alfonso X El Sabio University, the Aquópolis water park and the Santiago Apóstol sports centre. It is an ideal location for lovers of the countryside, nature, walks and a quiet life in general, which is favoured by a wonderful environment, without shying away from progress or advances.
