Built in 1912, the Director's Tower was the house where the director of the Can Barba factory lived. Located on the bed of the Ripoll river. The house, with a square floor plan with a four-sided façade, has three built floors, a semi-basement floor, a ground floor and a first floor, each measuring 182 m². The exterior has gardens all around and a swimming pool. On the perimeter of the garden, against the natural slope of the mountain, there is a garage dug into the mountain. A few meters further on there is a second room also dug into the mountain and protruding from its slope, with a fireplace, a stone bench with a sink and water. The state of conservation of the house is almost original from the beginning of the 20th century. It is a property with many possibilities.

Castellar del Vallès is a big town, which belongs to the Vallès Occidental region, a province of Barcelona. With an approximate population of 25.000 habitants, it is a quiet, calmed and welcoming town, surrounded by nature and placed next to the Parc Natural de Sant Llorenç (La Mola).  It has a wide variety of services and accommodations for its habitants, comparable to the ones in a small city, including shops, restaurants, bars, parks, natural spaces and even a sports center and a municipal swimming pool. Furthermore, as it is located 7 km away from Sabadell, at 11 km from Terrassa, and only 30 km apart from Barcelona, this town is ideal for those ones who are searching for a calmed and relaxed live in the countryside without having to renounce to any facility and with an easy access to the city.  Castellar del Vallès also offers a great transport infrastructure, including connections to the principal cities from the province of Barcelona by roads or by public transport. Regarding education, the town has eight primary schools and five secondary schools.  Talking about housing, there’s a wide range of options available, either in the centre of the town or in one of its five urbanisations, and there are even more if we count Sant Feliu del Recos’ area (a municipality which depends on Castellar del Vallès). The urbanisation of Can Font and Can Avellaneda is the one which is farthest located to the town centre, but, in contrast, it is closer to the municipalities of Matadepera and Terrassa. The prices are reasonable comparing them to the ones in other similar municipalities, and there are options for every budget and necessities.  To sum up, Castellar del Vallès is an ideal municipality for those ones who are looking for a calmed and comfortable life, with easy access to different services and comforts and, in general, an excellent quality of life.
