Puerta de Ángel is a neighborhood within the district of La Latina, southwest of Madrid. Mainly in La Latina and the district of Arganzuela, lies the urban park 'Madrid Río', a green space erected along an urban stretch of the Manzanares River. Puerta de Ángel is bounded, to the north, by the Casa de Campo (within the Moncloa-Aravaca district), the largest public park in Madrid, used by many athletes for running or cycling. And towards the center of Madrid, to the east, through the districts of Centro and Arganzuela. From the Puerta de Angel Metro station, walking on foot, it takes about 15 minutes, crossing the Puente de Segovia, to reach the Calle Mayor that leads to the Plaza Mayor and Sol. The Royal Palace of Madrid and the Almudena Cathedral, among many other points of tourist interest, are also in the vicinity. The neighborhood, apart from having good connections with numerous bus lines, is served by the Puerta del Angel, Alto de Extremadura and Lucero Metro stations on line 6. The Príncipe Pío (L6, L10) and Lago (L10) stations are also very close by. By car, it is very easy to access the M-30 or the A-5 highway. And, of course, we find all the stores, supermarkets, markets - for example, the famous 'Tirso de Molina Market' -, bakeries, restaurants, bars, gyms ... or schools, hospitals, banks etc. typical of a modern and lively neighborhood.
