Fuente del Berro is one of the six neighborhoods that make up the district of Salamanca, in Madrid. In this neighborhood is the Colonia Fuente del Berro, small villas and townhouses that were built in the early twentieth century for the middle class, Colonia Iturbe 1 and Colonia Iturbe 2, now inhabited by many personalities of politics and the arts, and often compared to London's Notting Hill for its exclusive and bohemian character. There is also the Quinta de la Fuente del Berro Park located in the eastern part of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is bounded by Alcalá street to the north, Doctor Esquerdo street to the west, Avenida de la Paz or M-30 to the east and O'Donnell street to the south. There is no Cercanías station. However, the stations of Nuevos Ministerios (C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-7, C-8 and C-10, Chamartín district) and Méndez Álvaro (C-1, C-5, C-7 and C-10, Arganzuela district) can be easily reached by metro line 6, and the stations of Sol (C-3 and C-4, Centro district) and Recoletos (C-1, C-2, C-7, C-8 and C-10, Recoletos neighborhood of the same district) can be easily reached by metro line 2. The neighborhood is served by several bus lines. Metro lines 2, 5 and 6 serve the neighborhood with the following stations: Ventas L2 and L5 / Manuel Becerra L2 and L6 / O'Donnell L6. A wide variety of street markets, supermarkets, gyms, schools, churches, parishes and a wide range of shops. The municipal sports center Fuente del Berro and the well-known Plaza de Toros de las Ventas. It is also a residential neighborhood, quiet and safe, with landscaped areas ideal for children and the elderly.
