Marbella has been again chosen to host the Ironman 70.3, organised by the prestigious World Thiathlon Corporation (WTC). The event will gather many of the very best triathletes in the competition. In addition, the competition offers 60 tickets for the world championship of Ironman 70.3 that will take place in Nice, France.
In this edition in Marbella, the athletes will swim in the Mediterranean Sea, from the Playa de Levante in Puerto Banús, all the way to the legendary United Nations Avenue, swimming 1,9 kilometers. From this point, the bike course will take place on the Marbella Golden Mile, from where they will have to bike for 90 kilometres, enjoying the beautiful Andalusian landscapes through the villages of Ojén, Coín, and Cártama to return back to Marbella and do the last step of the competition, walking the last 21.1 kilometers through the Puerto Banús promenade. The animation of the the Marbella citizens will motivate them until they reach the last point in the beach of Puerto Banús.
The event will take place on the 27th of April 2019 and the sign up is still open.
