Sant Feliu de Guíxols is a coastal town, an old fishing village, whose urban centre is one of the most important on the Costa Brava. S'Agaró, on the other hand, is one of the favourite places for the locals and for the hundreds of tourists who visit it every summer due to its beauty and corners that differentiate it from the other areas that can be found in the region.
Both at sea and on land, these municipalities offer a variety of activities to enjoy all year round, whether on their cliffs, their beaches and various coves that surround them, their historical monuments, their gastronomic offer or their cultural events.
Sant Feliu de Guíxols has among its streets several buildings of historical and architectural interest, as well as Modernist and Indian remains from the 19th century.
These include:
Baroque building from the 18th century when a Benedictine community used to live. It is also home to 9th-10th century
constructions such as the Porta Ferrada , the church of Mare de Deu dels Àngels and the Corn and Fum towers.
The monastery is also home to the Carmen Thyssen Space , where you can enjoy some pieces from the Baroness's private collection.
Built on the site of an old 13th century fortification, the chapel dates back to 1723 and offers some of the best views that can be enjoyed in the municipality.
It has a collection of antique toys collected by Tomàs Pla between 1875 and 1975. Visiting the museum is an activity for the whole family.
The via ferrata of Cala Molí is the first via ferrata built on the coastal cliffs of Europe. It is located next to the sea with a route of 480 metres. It is strategically built so that you can enjoy the marvellous views of the Mediterranean Sea while doing the activity. It has 2 sections. The first section is a K2 and the second section is a K3 on the Hüsler scale.

The ecological wealth of the municipality is a paradise for lovers of the sea in all its variants. The coves of Canyerets, Vigatà and Port Salvi stand out, among others, both rocky and sandy.
Likewise, the port is a link to other seafaring origins and allows sporting, commercial and fishing activities.
Activities such as sailing, scuba diving, fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, snorkelling, paddle surfing and many others are available.
Sant Feliu de Guíxols offers several options for those who like to enjoy the countryside and the mountains.
The greenways or cycle paths of the municipality coincide with the end of the old route that connects with Olot. The distance to Girona is 39.7 km with a gradient of 0.5% and a maximum altitude of 136 m at Cassà de la Selva.
There is also a network of signposted paths with different routes to follow, either along the coastal paths or along those in the Gavarres and the Ardenya or Cadiretes massifs.
This is one of the most important characteristics for the inhabitants of Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The municipality and its shops offer high quality raw materials in all types of products, with cod, suquet d'anxoves, suquet de peix and peix blau (white fish) standing out.
A noucentista-style village declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1995. Its formation was a project commissioned to Rafael Masó, with modernist-style buildings that embellish the coastal path.
Sant Pol beach and coastal path from S'Agaró to Platja d'Aro
The beach of Sant Pol still conserves the beauty of its 19th century buildings and its clear, calm and shallow waters. Also characteristic of the beach are its 45 colourful huts that are more than 100 years old.
The Ronda path is one of the most beautiful and easily accessible paths on the Costa Brava:
Its route from Sant Felilu de Guíxols passes by beautiful coves and cliffs, such as Cap de Mort, Cala del Peix or the small sandy cove of Cala Maset.
From S'Agaró you can enjoy other coves along the coastal path, such as Cala Jonca, or Cala del Molí, where there is a via ferrata between cliffs. Cala Ametller and Cala Maset are two small coves with turquoise waters, where you can take the opportunity to cool off along the route.
Between Cala Pedrosa and the last cove, Cala Sa Conca, you will find one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Costa Brava, the S'Agaró viewpoint. Another beautiful viewpoint is Punta d'en Pau.
The path along this stretch is very well prepared and quite wide, ideal for children.
It has a duration of 6.5 km - 1 hour approx.
